distribution experience from a passionate, involved team.
Howard Colvin (CEO)
Howard Colvin has been involved with Rudolf Wolff since 1993., launching numerous investment funds and distributing them globally. These cover investment strategies from systematic to discretionary and multi-asset funds. His interests are wide and varied and include the media and publishing sectors, technology and the world of Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. In addition, Howard is involved with a number of charities covering environmental, arts and music and refugees.
George Lucan (Fund Manager)
George Lucan brings 30 years’ experience of the public and private debt markets. Beginning his career in 1989 at Kleinwort Benson Limited as a credit analyst, he moved on to develop leveraged structured products for the public debt and equity markets.
Leaving in 1999 as Head of UK and European structured finance, he moved on to help launch, along with two principals from Perry Capital, Bailey Coates LLP’s Cromwell Fund, a long-short equity strategy managing gross assets of $2 billion, where he headed up a team of 12 research professionals. He resigned in 2005 to develop Middle East Structured Finance Associates focused on developing ethical and/or Islamic compliant public and private debt instruments funds in the project finance space.
In 2015 he joined Rudolf Wolff Ltd where he shadowed the Manager of the RW Income Fund until 2016. In 2019 he returned to Rudolf Wolff as a consultant to manage the onshore RW Global Income Fund.
Melania Mcbride Wilson (Director of Operations)
Melania began her career as a professional dancer. She worked Internationally, and in London's West End as both performer and choreographer with celebrated directors and artists such as, Elaine Page, Lynn Seymour and Cameron Mackintosh.
She went on to work with record producer Tony Visconti, whose credits include hits for David Bowie, Marc Bolan and many others. As Managing Director, she turned a small business into a profitable group of companies and raised several million pounds to form a new record label.
All these threads are now connected within her new role as Director of Operations at Rudolf Wolff held since early 2018, leading and managing the global distributions network and the relationships with the service providers.
Peter Phelps (CFO)
Peter Phelps has worked in fund management and investment banking since 1989, when he joined Potter Warburg Asset Management in Melbourne, Australia. He moved to the UK in 1991 where he joined Framlington Group's emerging markets division, and then to the Republic of Kazakhstan where he was an adviser to the government on privatisation and then founder of the country's first investment bank. In that role he led Kazakhstan's first IPO, a US$50 million issue of a leading banking group, Kazkommertsbank, in 1997.
Returning to the UK, he was involved in a number of financings for Central Asian banks before founding Rudolf Wolff' Limited with Howard Colvin in 2000. In addition to Rudolf Wolff, he is a major shareholder of the UK's leading publishing marketing company, Aditus Audience Acquisition Limited, owner of LetsSubscribe.com, and founder and trustee of the environmental charity, Earth Restoration Service. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
Delano Bushby (Finance Director)
Delano started his professional career in 2004 at PricewaterhouseCoopers (South Africa) where he completed his accounting articles and continued working as an assistant manager. In 2008 he moved to London with his family and joined Rudolf Wolff Limited as Finance Director. He holds a BCom Honours degree in accounting.
Tommy Roper-Curzon (Sales Support Manager)
Tommy Roper-Curzon graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from John Cabot University in Rome, and was elected Student Government President.
Before joining Rudolf Wolff in early 2018, he worked in the leisure sector and managed a restaurant.
Anthony Hodges (Consultant)
Anthony, has over 30 years’ experience in alternative investment, specializing in the design, implementation and development of hedge fund of fund businesses. His career started in 1977 in South Africa when he established his own fund management business, ALH Commodity Portfolios, using proprietary programmes trading commodities on the futures markets.
In 1982 he joined Rudolf Wolff & Co in London, a commodity broking firm, where he headed the research department, and from 1985 to 1996 he was Managing Director of Rudolf Wolff Fund Management.
In 1996 the company was bought by Sabre Fund Management. Anthony continued to run the business, before resigning in 1998 to set up Hodges Associates, an independent consultancy. He provided services to institutions seeking advice on the alternative investment sector, start-up hedge fund managers on business development and to existing fund of funds on portfolio management. From 2004 to 2012 he was in Dubai managing the alternative investment portfolio of the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, before returning to the UK and his consulting business.
Charles Bathurst (Consultant)
Charles has over 35 years’ experience of senior executive roles and businesses development, primarily in financial services. During his career Charles has been responsible for initiating and managing to profitability new businesses, multiple product launches across on shore and off shore domiciles and building distribution channels in more than 30 countries globally.
Charles graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst serving as an Officer in the British Army and since 1989 Charles has worked in international financial markets specialising in the investment management sector. In 1998 Charles established Credit Agricole Asset Management in London becoming Managing Director.
In 2004 he moved to Old Mutual Asset Managers as Head of Global Business development for the quantitative and alternative investment group and in 2008 joined J O Hambro Investment Management Limited as Director and Head of their internal Fund Management Group. In 2011 he set up his own independent consultancy service advising on business development and corporate governance to both emerging and established companies.
Today Charles holds Non-Executive and Advisory board positions on fast growing companies in financial services, healthcare and technology.
